Learn core printmaking processes this summer!
Hello friends! This summer I'll be teaching an introductory printmaking course that covers the core techniques of creating fine-art prints. The goal is for participants to gain a basic understanding of how each medium of printmaking works.
Additionally, I'll be hosting the course in the all new printmaking workshop at the Cubberley Community Center! The print shop provides gorgeous natural light, a large printmaking press (for you ambitious types), and large glass surfaces for inking.
Below are the workshop details:
Introduction to Printmaking
In this 6 session course, participants learn the fundamentals of creating multiple original works of art using three central printmaking techniques: intaglio, relief, and screenprint. Students will learn to create and print a drypoint edition; four-color reduction relief carving and printing; and screen printing from stencils. At the end of this course participants will display their prints in a gallery exhibition at Cubberley Community Center and have a print exchange. Most materials provided except paper.
