Teaching Woodblock Printmaking at the Art Center

I'm Teaching Japanese Woodblock Printmaking at the Palo Alto Art Center from January 16 to February 20th.

Create multi-color woodblock prints using a combination of Japanese and Western techniques. You'll learn how to transfer images onto woodblocks, carve a woodcut using knives and gouges, knife sharpening, and printing by hand using watercolors. This non-toxic process is ideal for both the studio and the home setting. Although a beginning workshop, artists familiar with printmaking will learn something new in this innovative approach. All materials provided: fee payable to instructor for wood blocks, paper, ink etc. If you do not have wood carving knives, an optional $50 take-home kit rental includes all you will need to carve and print.

Time: Every Saturday from Jan 16 to Feb 20 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Price: Resident: $300.00 If Resident for Customer
          Non-Resident: $345.00 If Non-resident for Customer
