Same view, two different compositions.

On the flight to Atlanta I sat in the aisle seat and was determined to do some warm up drawings so I would be in fine form when the time came to draw on the litho stone.

I've always liked drawing in airplanes. People generally sit still, and the interiors still feel like something out of 2001 Space Odyssey to me. I've also found the interior of a plane to be very claustrophobic.

Anyways, here are two different takes on in the same seat on the same flight, looking at the same people. During the flight the sunrise was casting this beautiful red light against one of the walls, and to me it just added a great abstract touch.

Be ready for more airplane drawings coming at the end of this month! I'm flying off to Philadelphia for the Southern Graphics Council. It's going to be a good one this year, with Philagrafika.
