This morning I took a tour, which led me to Michael's Tower, located in the very centre of Bratislava's Old Town. The tower is seven stories tall, and offers a panoramic view of the city once you reach the top. Each floor is a separate room of an arms museum, with weaponry dating back to the 12th century. Yikes! Gorgeous stuff. From the bottom to the top, there are antiques from the days of forging iron, to decorative rapiers and swords, to gun powder, cannons and pistols.
As I drew these, one of the museum guards keep speaking to me in Slovak. I was not able to make out much of what he said, but I am pretty sure that when he went into the other room, he was debating with the docents on wether or not my drawing was the same as photography. Anyways, I was not kicked out, or thrown off the balcony.. so I guess I passed!
